I have a problem of starting things and not finishing. Hopefully my current book list doesn't become "Books I haven't finished", but it probably will since I'm mothering a 4 month old. I've also noticed that books I read for pleasure are violent, historical accounts of human atrocities (typically about the Holocaust, Islam, or the Israeli/Palestinian conflict) or relating to theology.
Drew: "Why don't you try reading something 'light' like the Bears Summer Vacation?"
Me: "One: its boring. Two: I can read it in 2 minutes. Three: I've already read it to Callen 4+ times at naptime. Four: I wouldn't be learning anything."
Books I’m reading:
Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy by Eric Metaxes
Sign, Sing, Play by Monta Z. Briant
What to Expect the First Year
On Becoming Baby Wise by Gary Ezzo and Robert Bucknam
Books I’ve started but haven’t finished:
The Qur’an
The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis
The Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer
The New Evidence that Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell
Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler
Books I want to read:
Margaret Sanger by Margaret Sanger (founder of Planned Parenthood)
The Berenstain Bears Holy Bible, NIrV and other new books on virtue by Mike Berenstain
The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Fitness by Dave Ramsey (I listen to his radio show, so I’m not sure I will gain more insight into his financial philosophy by reading his book.)
A book on yogurt making
Books I’ve finished (this year)
Son of Hamas: A Gripping Account of Terror, Betrayal, Political Intrigue, and Unthinkable Choices by Mosab Hassan Yousef

This made me laugh because I have the same problem.
Books I haven't finished: When God Weeps-Why God Cares about Human Suffering, Boundaries, Fighting Poverty Through Enterprise, Gladys Alward biography
Books I've finished: Forgotten God, A Grief Observed, Joni, Adam, something I forget about implementing change, Self-Deception (for work)
And there are more in each category, but I don't remember. Read Agatha Christie's earlier works. They're soothing because they are so structured, and the bad guy always gets caught.
