Arroyo Grande Centennial Celebration

We knew the weekend was off to a good start when Drew hit his second out of the park home run at his softball game Friday night and went 4/4 at hitting.  Aside from relaxing and cleaning the house, we spent the weekend wondering downtown AG participating in the 100 year celebration.

Here are a few of the highlights from the weekend:

Enjoying the shade at the blue grass concert.  (First Friday Country Gospel Band is much better.)
Left the concert to go for a carriage ride around downtown

Spotted 8 roosters in the tree near the swinging bridge
The unveiling of the world's largest ice cream sandwich (100" in diameter) made by Doc Bernstein's Ice Cream Parlor
Enjoying Drew's piece of the sandwich with Jim
Notables:
Watched local celebrities Taylor and Tori Thompson (from The Voice) perform at the Rotary Bandstand,
Ate a picnic lunch with Nicole,
Walked up and down Grande (from Halcyon to downtown) exploring the "block party",
Watched half of the parade,
Enjoyed a delicious spaghetti dinner cooked by Drew, and
Listened to the fireworks as we went to bed.
