Hello, Due Date!

Well, here it is the morning of February 20, 2013--a day awaited for nearly 9 months. And the baby we are eagerly waiting to meet has shown no signs of arriving. So we continue to wait.
At 38.5 weeks
Over the past few weeks we have upgraded Callen to a big boy bed.  Although we have had our days of no naps, night wonderings, and early morning visits in our bed, the transition has gone surprisingly well.    Hopefully, the pattern continues with the sibling arrives.

Baby's crib...even though I'm predicting Baby is a boy, the room is prepared for a girl :)

Top two questions we are asked:
1) Doesn't it make you crazy to NOT know the sex of the baby?  Yes and No.  If you can make it past the 30 minute ultrasound appointment around week 20, then there is no way to find out until the baby comes. (Unless, you need to more than one ultrasound.  And, yes, you can still watch the ultrasound--just not for 5 minutes while the technician measures the pelvis.)  In reality, you only need to be strong for 30 minutes to say, "NO," to knowing.  But on the other hand, it would be fun to decorate, shop, etc. more specifically.  Motivation for not finding out: 1) makes labor more "bearable", 2) the only kind of suspense I enjoy enduring, and 3) at least for the first child, friends and family lavish you with practical gifts instead of a surplus of clothes.

2) Do you have names picked out? Sharing? Again, yes and no.  I keep changing my mind on names.  We've told our names to Callen, but since he can't seem to remember them we don't feel obligated to keep them.  Our girl name seems to be unchanged for several weeks, but we keep vacillating on a boy name.  With Callen we had his name picked early-on, but remained undecided on a girl name.  We have many names that we like but not the meaning.
Callen (Defended of God; Victorious)
Christopher (Bearer/Carrier of Christ)
Our goal: have a name by the time we leave the hospital, so we don't have to have a multiple page birth certificate.  Don't be surprised if you get a txt, "IT'S A BOY! Will txt later with name.."
