A couple things to note:
1) I thought about starting CDing when Cal was 6ish months, but Drew was not supportive. Not because he was against CDing but because he was looking out for my sanity. Cal and I got off to a rough start, and he had the wisdom to guide me away from things that had the potential to create more (unnecessary) stress.
2) Choosing a cloth diaper is like buying a car. There are endless options and brands, and everyone has an opinion. I came to the realization that I had to take the plunge.
The details:
I bought 3 pocket Kawaii diapers from luvyourbaby.com. They were having a "buy 3, get 50% off" sale. Eventually, I'll need more than 3, but I wanted to test it out before I completely commit. (I'm hoping to decide quickly because luvyourbaby is having another sale until the end of July: 25% off anything, no minimum. That's $5.36 a diaper!!).
And as another side note, the diapers fit both kids! Aubrey is on the medium size and Cal fits into the large setting. Originally, I was just going to CD Aubrey but since Cal is REFUSING to potty train, he might get to use them too.
Detergent: Rock n Green: bare naked babies, hard rock. (This is a non-scented detergent for hard water.)
I have no idea how it will go, and i still have a few reservations. (And there is no condemnation for those that don't use cloth.) I've been encouraged by a few friends and am eager to start saving money :)
So, here we go. Wish me luck!
