Wives' Tales Gender Predictor

We finally broke down and decided to take several Wives' Tales Tests, mostly for entertainment.  Let the "science" begin!

Select Data: 

Hair on head- Thin and stringer hair = Girl

Fingernails; grows faster and stronger= Boy

Morning Sickness early in pregs; Green at gills = Girl

Craving Sweets = Girl

Feet same temp as before pregs = Girl

Crave orange juice = Girl

Baby riding low = Boy

Belly shaped like a watermelon = Girl

Baby kicks on right side of belly most = Boy

Baby kicks high = Boy

Dad gains weight with mom = Boy

Can you see weight gain in mom’s face = Girl

Carrying weight out front = Boy

Refuse to eat heel of bread = Girl

Mom’s hair no gray = Girl

Mom’s nose hasn’t changed (not wider) = Girl

Mom’s been craving fruit = Girl

Mom breaks out in zits = Girl

Pick up a key boy round end = Boy

Clumsy during pregs = Boy

If mom rests on her right side more = Girl

If you ask mom to be to show you her hands; Palms down = Boy

Normal hands (not dry) = Girl

No significant change in amount of headaches = Girl

Results: 

Boy: 15 out of 33 (45%)

Girl: 18 out of 33 (55%)

According to the Mayan and Chinese calculations, the baby is a girl.

Conclusion:

As two trained in science, we found this to be the most random and unscientific process ever.  If you want to believe the results, you must turn off your brain, abandon the scientific method, and not use observation among other pregnant women as part of your inquiry.  We are no closer to knowing the sex of the baby then we were at week 0.

Questions for future inquiry: 

What does refusing to eat the heel of the bread have to do with the gender of the baby?

Are most of the "symptoms" of pregnancy a result of  hormones, not baby's gender?
